About The Librarian/Media Specialist
As a graduate of Woodruff High School, this is the only place I would want to be. I am very proud to be part of District 4 and the great things we accomplish every day. I graduated from Woodruff High School in 1992 and attended USC Upstate where I received my BA in elementary education. In 2001, I received my Master in Library and Information Science degree from USC. I taught at Woodruff Middle School for 5 years and I was the media specialist for 1 year. For the past six years, I have been the media specialist at Woodruff Primary School. I am married to Jason Rhodes, who is also a graduate from WHS. We have 3 wonderful girls who keep us very busy. In my free time, I enjoy reading, shopping and spending time with my family. I am very excited about this school year. Thank you so much for sharing your children with me. I am looking forward to all the great things we will accomplish.
The goal of our library program at Woodruff Primary is to provide great books for our students to read at school and at home and to provide materials to enhance and supplement the curriculum of our school. We also strive to provide students with many opportunities to work on their technology skills.
This list was put together by children's librarians at the NY Public Library as part of a current exhibit, The ABC of It: Why Children's Books Matter. We have many of these books in our media center. If you find one you would like for your child to check out, feel free to send us a note or an e-mail and we will help your child with making that selection.
