Cornerstone Baptist - Soles for Souls Shoe Ministry

Woodruff Primary School is so fortunate to have community support from such a variety of organizations, businesses and local churches.  During the month of December, Cornerstone Baptist Church organized a ministry called “Soles for Souls”. This ministry allowed the church to provide each student at Woodruff Primary School the opportunity to receive a new pair of name brand tennis shoes.  This generous offer was their way of spreading hope and encouragement during the holiday season.

During December, students that signed up to receive a pair of tennis shoes were invited to Cornerstone Baptist Church to enjoy a time of seasonal cheer with music and light refreshments. Over 500 pairs of shoes were given out after the event. Cornerstone Baptist Church has been in the Woodruff area for over 100 years and is trying to help meet the needs of the Woodruff area children.

Woodruff First Baptist - Back-to-School Donations

Thanks to Woodruff First Baptist for donating bookbags and school supplies. Mrs. Sheffield, our guidance counselor, accepts the donations and distributes them to children who have a need. This has been a yearly project for the Women's Missionary Union (WMU) of Woodruff First Baptist for several years. We appreciate their efforts in collecting these materials. We appreciate their kindness and generosity toward Woodruff Primary School and our young learners. It is exciting for them to have new school items as they begin their school careers.

Cedar Shoals Baptist - Shoe Ministry

Thanks to Cedar Grove Baptist as they donate shoes to children in our school who have a need. Mrs. Sheffield, our school guidance counselor, serves as the liaison between the school and the church. She communicates children's needs to the church and supplies information about sizing. Good shoes are important for young children. They allow them to run and play safely. We appreciate Cedar Grove providing such a practical ministry.

First Presbyterian Spartanburg - Winter Warmth Project

Thanks to First Presbyterian in Spartanburg for providing coats during the cold months for children who need them. Mrs. Sheffield, our counselor, communicates the needs of our school to the church. This is such a needed ministry. We appreciate First Presbyterian of Spartanburg for providing this ministry to the children of Woodruff Primary.

Helping Hands Ministries

Helping Hands Ministries of the Woodruff Area strives to provide assistance to families in our area, primarily in crisis situations. Helping Hands provides food, heating fuel, prescription medication, rent, electricity, and water/sewer. It is important to support organizations that give so much to the families in our community.
